DichroIDPs - T&Cs

The DichroIDPs website allows the downloading of the DichroIDPs program. This policy explains how we use the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

How do we collect your data

You provide us with your name and e-mail address on the form provided before downloading the DichroIDPs software. This is optional

How will we use your data

We only collect your contact name and address if you provide them on the form. This is so that we can provide you with information about software updates, which you can download from this site.

We may ask permission to include (anonymized) user information in a future grant application, or to ask for a letter of support for a future grant application. This is optional

Data Storage policy

All data storage issues concerned with user registration and scientific data are in accordance with the 1998 Data Protection Act and the regulations of Birkbeck College. Birkbeck's Data Protection Statement can be found here.

We do not use your data for marketing purposes

Your data protection rights

You have the right to access, rectification and erasure of your data.

DichroIDPs does not require that users register to down load the program. If users elect to supply their the name, and email, data will be held until such time that the user elects to discontinue their registration.

Users may at any time request a summary of the held data, or elect to amend the data or delete the data, in accordance with the 1998 Data Protection Act. This may be achieved by emailing a request to cdtools @ mail.cryst.bbk.ac.uk. Registered users must note though that access to the service will not be possible without complete registration details.

DichroIDPs does not intend to disclose any details of user's data to any third parties, unless required by law.

No responsibility or liability by the WebSite is assumed for its contents nor for any results produced using the software. Furthermore, no responsibility or liability by the website will be taken should any usage of this package cause inadvertent damage to any files or hardware of the user. The validity, construction and performance of this agreement, and any contractual and non-contractual claims arising hereunder, shall be governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to which the parties hereby submit, except that a party may seek an interim injunction (or an equivalent remedy)
